Keirra Griffey was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Southwest Dekalb High School. She discovered working with children as a young teen, loved to care for her relatives (older cousins) kids and likes working with all ages of kids. She's a proud mother of one daughter who is a one year old. She loves spending time with family and friends, and loves music and outdoors activities.

Destiny Farley

Destiny Farley just graduated from Maynard Jackson High School and plans on furthering her education at Georgia State University during the spring of 2018, and will major in nursing. She grew up in a big family and has always been around kids. During her spare time, she likes to babysit and go shopping. She has six brothers, one older than her and the rest are younger. She helps her mom and dad look after her younger siblings and I plans to give her all to the kids at SoulShine.

Chelsea Goolsby is the new Assistant Teacher in Katydids. She brings us her great customer service skills, positive attitude and love for playing with children, and figuring out their fun personalities. Chelsea is funny, goofy and loves to smile and meet new people!

Kiara is 2o years old and a parent of a wonderful 1 year old. Her daughter has had some medical problems since birth which encourages Kiara to join the medical field and is currently going to school for registered nursing, while also studying Spanish. Watching after her babies is the most important thing she could do, the little time they share together goes more than a long way. She truly believes that the parents set the foundation for their child and at SoulShine, we make sure we meet each parent and child's need to the best of our abilities. Her children mean the world to her, from the first day, she falls in love with everyone. She's excited to watch all our SoulShiners grow and develop into the great doctors, yoga instructors, police officers, firemen, business owners and more, I know they will be.

Dominique Miles

Dominique Miles loves the arts! She loves poetry, music, painting, cooking and acting but, she found her passion lies in teaching children. This is where she is the most impressionable. She has worked with newborns through 9 year olds throughout the duration of 5 years. Dominique has enjoyed watching children learn and grow as a result of her patience, lesson planning, constant encouragement and the love she has for them. She's so thankful to be given the opportunity to positively impact the children of SoulShine.

Ms. Courtney is a New Jersey Native. She began cooking at a young age because of of her love for food. As a child growing up she begged her parents and grandparents to let her in the garden to help pick vegetables, instead she found herself food prepping for meals., and she never lost that love. Ms. Courtney's been a chef for over 10 years. She's a US Army Vet, & attended Atlantic Culinary and Kentucky University.

Rondell Govan

Ms. Rondell is originally from New Jersey. She grew up in a big family and always assisted her mother and aunts with their cooking. She's previously worked with mentally and physically disabled where prepared meals  and  assisted them in their everyday living. She moved to Atlanta 4 years ago.  Ms. Rondell love's cooking, reading, writing poetry, traveling and meeting new people. She lives to brighten everyone's day, because we all deserve to be around positive energy.

Taylor Goolsby

Ms. Taylor was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She began working with kids in her grandmother's in-home daycare. She always knew that she wanted to work with kids since she was a child. She is currently attending Georgia State University in the Early Childhood Education program. She plans to graduate with her Bachelors Degree in 2 years to further her knowledge as an educator.

Chloe is from Atlanta and has aspirations of one day becoming a New Yorker. She plans to major in Early Childhood Education in college. Chloe's love of children and education come earnestly as her grandmother and mom were educators. Listening to music, doing puzzles, and bingeing on Netflix are some of her down time activities.

Yeme Thomas holds an associate's degree in teacher education and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership. She is a history buff with particular interest in African studies.

Ms. Krystal hails from New York originally, but came to Georgia in time for high school, and attended Ft. Valley State University. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite cartoon is Powerpuff Girls.   She loves working with children and is eager to engage with them in a SoulShine classroom.

Ms. Taylor Hayes  is from Little Rock, Arkansas and studies at Agnes Scott College in Decatur. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology with the hopes of becoming a counselor. She loves being outdoors and exploring Atlanta. She is very excited to be a part of SoulShine!

Ms. Wanda has been in childcare since 2009. She attended DeKalb Technical College for Early Childhood Education, and worked at a Quality Rated center over 5 years. She has lived in the Atlanta area for more than 25 years. She enjoys cooking, crafting, and singing.

Ms. Trenisha is a biology student at Georgia State University. She has a passion for caring for young children as well as animals. She is energetic and gets along with most everyone she meets. Stephanie DeSantis

Stephanie DeSantis is an Atlanta native and a graduate of Georgia State University. She began working with children while in high school, teaching gymnastics at the local YMCA and working as a summer camp counselor. After graduating college, and spending a couple of years in a sales job,  she realized her true passions were rooted in teaching and helping others. Stephanie enjoys sharing her skills with art and textiles with both preschoolers and afterschoolers at SoulShine.  On her days off, you'll find her in a hammock with her dog.

Ms. Henrietta is originally from Montgomery, AL and has spent most of her adult life in the field of education and family/community work. She is the mother of five and grandmother to seven. She enjoys sewing, anything that has to do with nutrition, literature and music.

Melinda Thomas is a Florida native who has called Atlanta home since 2015. As an auntie, a babysitter and a nanny, she is dedicated to helping children learn through playful and fun activities. With over 10 years of childcare experience, Melinda is a wonderful teacher and friend to every child she meets. Her favorite things to do around town are kickboxing, discovering new foods and places, eating Thai food, and spending time with her fiancé.

She is passionate about politics and history and loves to learn. She loves kids and has been working with them from a very young age. Jimi Fadahunsi

Folajimi (Jimi) Fadahunsi was born in Lagos, Nigeria to a royal family. After coming to America at the age of 3 he played sports including football, basketball, track and field. He has always had an interest and passion for biology and studying nature and how it relates to the human body. In college he played football and studied Exercise and Sports Science as well as extended studies in Metaphysical Principles. Jimi is now a Certified Reiki Healer. He enjoys good music, dancing, nature, playing sports, cooking, and inspiring others.

Mr. BC graduated from Emory University and has been with SoulShine since 2007. Afterschooler Kai says of BC, "Mr. BC takes care of us and plays with us. He makes sure we are following directions so that when we are older, we can be disciplined. Most importantly he makes sure we are having fun and doing what we are supposed to do.”

Chrys Robinson wass born and raised in Atlanta and has been working with children as a nanny since 2014. She enjoys being out and one with nature, reading books, learning new things about life and watching kids grow. Her favorite part is seeing their personalities blossom. She believes that children are like seeds; if they are planted with plenty of love and care, they can change the world.

Jazmine Williams

Jazmine Williams is an Atlanta native who is studying at Georgia State University. She discovered her love for working with children as a young teen herself, when older relatives started having kids she could babysit. Dusten grew up in the Chicago area and is ecstatic he finally got to see the Cubs win a World Series! After graduating college with a degree in Illustration, Dusten discovered a love for teaching and working with children. He has been involved with primary education since 2000, working as an assistant teacher for a Montessori program, then becoming lead teacher in a private Pre-K education program. He relocated to Atlanta and has spent the past four years as an assistant Pre-K educator. In his free time, Dusten is a freelance artist.

Ms. Aushana was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and moved with her family to Atlanta when she was 15 years old. She gained extensive experience working with children as she helped raise all five of her younger siblings, as well as working in childcare. She is currently enrolled at Georgia State University in Early Childhood Development and hopes to gain a masters degree and move into teaching in the public school system.

Ms. Christine was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised on the sunny beaches of Miami, FL. She recently relocated to Atlanta quickly became a part of the SoulShine family. Ms. Christine has many hobbies such as baking, knitting, writing and singing horribly while driving. She has worked in the field of early childhood education for the past 4 years.

Paloma Sanchez

Sadly Ms. Paloma was born a muggle, so she was not accepted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Therefore, she now studies Bio-medical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She especially loves to study the body’s response to injury and foreign objects. She enjoys the color blue, playing violin, Indian food, and sleeping past 1 pm. Outside of school, she has tutored children from K-12 grade in every subject and college freshmen in Chemistry and Excel.

Felicia Jenkins

Felicia Jenkins was born and raised here in Atlanta. Her passion is to teach literature and children are her motivation. Before coming to SoulShine Felicia tutored in an after-school program. There she realized teaching didn't have to wait until she finished graduate school. The ones who needed her the most were still figuring the world out. She knows children can shape the world and their minds can be opened to greatness and creativity.

Morgane Mosley

Ms. Morgane was born and raised in Atlanta. She began working with kids right after high school and enjoyed three years of working at a daycare. After child care, she then started working with special needs children and grew to really love working with them. She is blessed to have her child, Nyla, who always keeps her on her toes! Recently, she began volunteering at the East Atlanta Library.

Josh Cohen

Mr. Josh is a graduate of Oglethorpe University. He spent five summers at Valley Mill Summer Camp in Seneca Valley, MD teaching archery and out door skills to children 4-14. He went to work for the D.C Creative Writing Workshop teaching poetry, basic fiction and drama to middle school students in Southeast Washington, D.C. He is very excited to be a part of the unique experience that is SoulShine’s preschool program.

Chloe Ralston

Ms. Chloe is a proud Atlanta native.  She studied Visual Art, Literature, Psychology and Sociology at Georgia State University. She’s worked with kids of all ages at summer camps, and as a caregiver to infants.  Ms. Chloe’s greatest joy is witnessing a child learning, imagining, exploring and creating.  Her favorite hobbies are making art, reading, and exploring nature – all activities that can be phenomenally enhanced when shared with kids!

Abby hails from Birmingham, AL. After graduating from high school, she nannied for two girls, ages 3 and 5, for two years before continuing on to what she thought was her calling: working in the medical field as an instrument tech.  After five years in that field, Abby moved to Atlanta to follow her heart. She finds the greatest joy in working with children, and if she happens to get to combine that with her passion for photography, it's a double win. She loves seeing the sweet faces of the children every day, and she's often the source of the images you'll see on SoulShine's Facebook pages.

She is currently a student at Georgia Piedmont College, enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program.
