Ms. Taylor Hayes  is from Little Rock, Arkansas and studies at Agnes Scott College in Decatur. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology with the hopes of becoming a counselor. She loves being outdoors and exploring Atlanta. She is very excited to be a part of SoulShine!

Stephanie DeSantis

Stephanie DeSantis is an Atlanta native and a graduate of Georgia State University. She began working with children while in high school, teaching gymnastics at the local YMCA and working as a summer camp counselor. After graduating college, and spending a couple of years in a sales job,  she realized her true passions were rooted in teaching and helping others. Stephanie enjoys sharing her skills with art and textiles with both preschoolers and afterschoolers at SoulShine.  On her days off, you'll find her in a hammock with her dog.

Ms. Henrietta is originally from Montgomery, AL and has spent most of her adult life in the field of education and family/community work. She is the mother of five and grandmother to seven. She enjoys sewing, anything that has to do with nutrition, literature and music.

Destiny Smith

Ms. Destiny attends Agnes Scott College, studying anthropology and sociology. Her hobbies include dancing, arts & crafts, and creative writing. She has been dancing since the age of three and teaches classes at The One dance studio in Snellville for kids of all ages.  When she isn’t dancing, she enjoys baking sweets and watching cartoons from the 90’s. Her favorite dessert is New York style cheesecake and there isn’t a show that can replace Tom and Jerry.

Colton Smith

Mr. Colton has always been drawn to focusing on the well being of children and being there to help maximize their own potential. As a teenager he worked with children as a tutor and summer camp counselor. He is currently in school focusing on pediatric medicine. Most children consider Colton to just be an oversized version of themselves, because he is a firm believer in fun.

Jazmine Williams

Jazmine Williams is an Atlanta native who is studying at Georgia State University. She discovered her love for working with children as a young teen herself, when older relatives started having kids she could babysit. Her favorite part of working with kids is seeing them smile and being happy. Her favorite food is hot wings.

Dusten grew up in the Chicago area and is ecstatic he finally got to see the Cubs win a World Series! After graduating college with a degree in Illustration, Dusten discovered a love for teaching and working with children. He has been involved with primary education since 2000, working as an assistant teacher for a Montessori program, then becoming lead teacher in a private Pre-K education program. He relocated to Atlanta and has spent the past four years as an assistant Pre-K educator. In his free time, Dusten is a freelance artist.

Aushana White

Ms. Aushana was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and moved with her family to Atlanta when she was 15 years old. She gained extensive experience working with children as she helped raise all five of her younger siblings, as well as working in childcare. She is currently enrolled at Georgia State University in Early Childhood Development and hopes to gain a masters degree and move into teaching in the public school system.

Katelyn Mason

Katelyn Mason was born in St. Petersburg, FL but came to Atlanta to join her adopted family. Her older sister Annie worked at SoulShine during high school, and her love for kids rubbed off on Ms. Katelyn. She is delighted to follow in her big sister's footsteps at SoulShine.

Ms. Christine was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised on the sunny beaches of Miami, FL. She recently relocated to Atlanta quickly became a part of the SoulShine family. Ms. Christine has many hobbies such as baking, knitting, writing and singing horribly while driving. She has worked in the field of early childhood education for the past 4 years.

Paloma Sanchez

Sadly Ms. Paloma was born a muggle, so she was not accepted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Therefore, she now studies Bio-medical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She especially loves to study the body’s response to injury and foreign objects. She enjoys the color blue, playing violin, Indian food, and sleeping past 1 pm. Outside of school, she has tutored children from K-12 grade in every subject and college freshmen in Chemistry and Excel.

Felicia Jenkins

Felicia Jenkins was born and raised here in Atlanta. Her passion is to teach literature and children are her motivation. Before coming to SoulShine Felicia tutored in an after-school program. There she realized teaching didn't have to wait until she finished graduate school. The ones who needed her the most were still figuring the world out. She knows children can shape the world and their minds can be opened to greatness and creativity.

Morgane Mosley

Ms. Morgane was born and raised in Atlanta. She began working with kids right after high school and enjoyed three years of working at a daycare. After child care, she then started working with special needs children and grew to really love working with them. She is blessed to have her child, Nyla, who always keeps her on her toes! Recently, she began volunteering at the East Atlanta Library.

Ms. Briunna Smith is from Decatur and is currently working towards her Bachelors in Psychology and Vocal Music at Agnes Scott College. She is very passionate about music and people expressing their individuality. In her free time she loves to watch Law & Order: SVU and spend time with family and friends.

Josh Cohen

Mr. Josh is a graduate of Oglethorpe University. He spent five summers at Valley Mill Summer Camp in Seneca Valley, MD teaching archery and out door skills to children 4-14. He went to work for the D.C Creative Writing Workshop teaching poetry, basic fiction and drama to middle school students in Southeast Washington, D.C. He is very excited to be a part of the unique experience that is SoulShine’s preschool program.

Ms. Chloe is a proud Atlanta native.  She studied Visual Art, Literature, Psychology and Sociology at Georgia State University. She’s worked with kids of all ages at summer camps, and as a caregiver to infants.  Ms. Chloe’s greatest joy is witnessing a child learning, imagining, exploring and creating.  Her favorite hobbies are making art, reading, and exploring nature – all activities that can be phenomenally enhanced when shared with kids!

Ms. Shabria is an Atlanta native but grew up in New York City, where she graduated from Louis D Brandies HS.  She attended Georgia Perimeter College, majoring in Early Childhood Education. She has two young children of her own, and has worked with children of all ages. She has a genuine love for children and intends to have a lasting positive impact on every child she encounters.
