COMITEMENTS TO YOUR FAMILY

Our Promise

WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER

Parents As Partners

We partner with parents.

Our staff community understand and respect that parents are their children’s first teachers. Their involvement in the school gives their children a sense of security and is deeply appreciated. We recognize that stable, quality relationships during the early years are fundamental for later developmental outcomes.

Collaboration between our staff community, parents and the children is an integral part of the educational experience at SoulShine Schools. Our goal is not simply to build a strong, warm and nurturing connection with each child, but to extend that connection to our community of parents.

YOUR WINDOW INTO SOULSHINE

Staying Connected

SoulShine uses Brightwheel to keep parents up-to-date on daily  activities and school happenings.  Parents use this app to check their children in and out of SoulShine. For younger kids, Brightwheel is also how teachers share updates on bottles, diaper changes, and more. Details on app use and access are covered during your orientation.

SECURE BY DESIGN

Safety & Security

  • We work diligently to maintain the cleanliness of our facility as well as the safety of our furnishings and toys, and the overall health of our children and their environment is paramount.

  • Our buildings are secured for entry and exit at all points. SoulShine families drop off and pick up children using secure keypads, whose codes are changed throughout the year.

  • The buildings are outfitted with closed-circuit  cameras in the classrooms as well as hallways and outdoor spaces.  Video monitoring is recorded as well as viewable from the management office at all times.

  • All staff members are qualified to respond to life-threatening emergencies. All staff members are trained on safety rules, special hazards, and commonly occurring accidents.

  • Staff receive detailed instructions and practice on evacuation procedures for fire and storm, use of fire extinguishers and how to report an accident. Written procedures for fire and storm evacuation are posted in each classroom and are practiced monthly with the children.

  • The children are under adult supervision at all times.

  • In addition to our regularly instituted health and  safety plan, emergency care procedures are also in place for all minor and major incidents.
